Los Angeles Chargers star defensive lineman Joey Bosa traveled to Eastern Pennsylvania on Sunday to support his brother, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, in the NFC Championship against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Eagles fans noticed Bosa standing outside Lincoln Bank Stadium before the game and couldn’t resist heckling the star who had already got eliminated from the postseason.
“Eagles fans heckling Joey Bosa pregame,” tweeted KNBR.
“Boooosa!” one heckler shouts. “Bosa sucks!” shouts another.
Bosa then made towards one of the man before pulling up short of any physical content. He proceeded to call his hecklers “losers.” When asked about how he liked the Bud Lights he had been drinking, Bosa responded that he could afford them because he’s rich.
“I am, too!” the heckler shouted back as Bosa walked away with friends. He eventually made it into the stadium:
The Bosa brothers played collegiate football with the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Chargers drafted Joey with the third overall selection of the 2016 NFL Draft. The 49ers selected the younger Nick with the second overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The NFL world was quick to react to the scene:
The ascendant Jacksonville Jaguars eliminated Bosa’s Chargers, 31-30, in the Wild Card Round after the Chargers staked themselves to a 28-0 lead to begin the game.
The Eagles led the 49ers, 14-7, near the end of the second quarter.
