On Thursday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter had a notable coaching candidate update.
Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen will reportedly have his second interview for the Indianapolis Colts head coaching opening. Steichen was one of the hottest candidates on the market after Jalen Hurts’ leap forward in 2022.
With another week to prepare for the Super Bowl, Steichen has plenty of time to impress the Colts this weekend.
Colts fans are ready for the coaching search to be over.
“I have a heart attack every time I see a tweet mentioning the Colts HC search,” one fan joked.
Others aren’t sure if Steichen would take the job.
“This is interesting as Sirianni was highly motivated to make the Colts look bad for firing Reich… But one of Sirianni’s descendants from his coaching staff may be on his way to leading that said organization,” added another fan.
Eagles fans don’t want to see Steichen leave.
“Nah y’all can keep Jeff Saturday stay away from our guy Steichen,” one fan said.
