Montreal police are investigating a shooting early Sunday morning in the city’ St-Laurent borough.
A 911 call around 6:15 a.m. alerted police to a shooting on l’Acadie Blvd. near Mazurette St.
By the time officers arrived on the scene, paramedics were already tending to the victim.
The man, who had suffered an upper-body injury, was hospitalized. His life is not believed to be in danger.
Preliminary accounts indicate a conflict may have begun inside a bar before continuing outside, where the shooting took place, said police spokesperson Véronique Dubuc.
Multiple people have been detained to be interviewed.
The police are still looking for suspects.
